Why I recommend a personal trainer

If you have been thinking about losing weight or struggling with it I wanted to let you know why I recommend a personal trainer as a way to get the motivation to get fit.

Back in March I wrote a blog post that outlined how many of us are full of old waste and should seriously think about cleansing our colon well since then I have looked into natural products, natural skin care, natural detox and most of all I have been exercising.

For the last 5 weeks regularly – an hour a day 3 times a week. Every Monday on my own I ride my exercise bike and do a series of strength training exercises. Every wednesday in a strength training exercise class in Mill  and every Friday with a personal trainer who comes to my house. I convinced her to use me as a case study – get me fit and record it all on video so people can see how easy it is to regain our fitness levels.

We call it flabby to fit in 4 weeks – there are 3 sets of 4 weeks. The first focuses on getting the body used to exercise, the second on losing weight and sculpting the body and the third I am not sure about yet! I have just entered the second phase. Losing weight and sculpting.

I had a checkup with my Doctor and I am 100% healthy. No high blood pressure, no diabetes but my kidneys are on the borderline of going wrong and need help – they need more water – and as I have learnt about the effects of dehydration I have been giving them plenty to enjoy!  They are okay. It would take another 5 years or so before they went wrong if I continued doing what I was doing (unhealthy eating and no exercise) but the body is a wonderful forgiving thing and I can turn them around and heal them by simply regaining my health.

For my age (43) my resting heart rate should be 65-69 if it is good and lower than that if it is excellent. Anything over 85 is poor and five weeks ago mine started at 88! Worse than poor. Yesterday it stands at 70.

I am converted! I am singing the praises of regular exercise. Especially for those of us who have hit middle age! The middle age spread has stopped spreading and is disappearing. I still have until October to reach my goal of losing 5 stone (70 pounds) and (annoyingly) I have only lost a few pounds since exercising but my health is amazing and my body is taking on a whole new toned shape.  I love it.

I needed a personal trainer to get me up and going. I am so glad I made that commitment to use her now. So now I am converted I am going to drive all you overweight middle age people crazy with my posts on here about why you need to move your body!

Life is good and getting better and this is why I recommend a personal trainer! Exercise is a natural high and a natural drug. There is no better feeling that has such a lasting effect!

Anne is thinking about running flabby to fit as a 12 week class in Mill Hill – I convinced her to not keep this just for her one to one clients but to run it as a class. Best thing to do to find out more is to join her newsletter list and she will keep you informed.
