Life With No Car – Soon!

Last year I thought about selling my car and not driving for a while to see how I would cope. I have been driving since I was 17 years old and I am now 41 which is 24 years!

It’s gotten to the point now where if I want something from the shop around the corner I will jump in the car. My 16 year old daughter has been in a car being taken to school since she was 5 years old and is a little lazy when it comes to walking.

I thought about doing it last year and didn’t and now in an effort to get fit and save some money (I am spending as much as and sometimes more than I make!) I have decided to give it a go.

I spoke to the kids on Monday and I am not going to sell the car but I will be cancelling the insurance due on April 28th, not renewing my M.O.T. (what does M.O.T. even stand for…???) that runs out in May and not renewing the car tax which ends in June.

I took out my insurance details today to cancel it and panicked… so I’ll leave that until tomorrow I think
