So today on Twitter I was going through and unfollowing a few people when I came across someone who had a link to a video. I went over to the site and found The Diet Solution and the video made a lot of sense to me (definitely worth watching)
It also helped that I had also recently watched a video on Youtube about the bad effects of bread – including wholemeal/brown bread – which we think is healthy. So it looks like bread is just going to have to leave my life.
On the Tesco GI Diet I usually have bread every day as a sandwich and/or in breakfast. Cereal and bread, or just bread (3 slices) so its a lot of bread.
Also on The Diet Solution hit list was orange juice and cereal – cereal has always been a big part of my life every single day for the last 11 years at least (while I juggled single motherhood and work – it was easier to just pour cereal in a bowl in the morning) so getting rid of it will take a big shift but I believe it will be worth it.
The Diet Solution agreed with my thoughts on water and I need to be drinking half my body weight so after working it out I need to drink 131 ozs. I got my large jug out and I needed to fill that over 3 times (3 and 3/4s to be exact) which turned out to be 8 glasses of water. That means getting into the routine of drinking 10 glasses recently has been worth it. I slipped a couple of days this week but I at least managed 6 so not too far off the 8 I should be drinking.
So now I am in the drinking habit I need to adjust food just a little to give up bread and find alternatives but The Diet Solution (yes I did buy it!) give a whole host of them so it won’t be difficult.
I will weigh myself tomorrow and take whatever happens and then lets see what loads of water and giving up bread does for me next week!
Completely forgot to measure my inches so will do that tomorrow and of course I REALLY need to introduce exercise – especially since my youngest walks to school on his own now so I am not getting out at all (getting loads of work done though
)
I will meet my half a stone target in December – even if I meet it in the last two weeks!!!!!
I have a great feeling about The Diet Solution and how it will help because as I listened to the video it just seemed to resonate with me even though I know nothing about nutrition!
