How to stick to an online diet program

Online diet programs like The Diet Solution are really helpful because you can get access to everything you need instantly and do not have to rely on going out to meetings and taking part in other activities – but they can also be difficult to stick to because you don’t have to account to anyone and you are free to do it or not do it!
I started an online diet program because it is easy to fit into work and family commitments and I am online so much everything is always there which makes it easier for me. So the first way to stick to your online diet program is to decide whether a weight management program that works this way is really for you because if you only tend to log on to your computer once a day or every few days then chances are you will keep forgetting about it.
Of course you an make the commitment to log on more regularly and then print off everything you need so you have it in front of you. I often stick up reminders of different things to keep me focused and messages of encouragement – especially as I begin to lose weight. My first target was 24 lbs so I printed off a sign that says 4lbs lost 18lbs to go and I will keep adding to it until I lose that 24 lbs by the first week February 2010 or before (I have 9lbs to go)
Finding ways to keep yourself motivated and sticking to your online diet program is really essential.
I also use people as buddy’s and keep them up to date with what I am doing – of course you could start your own blog like this one and write about how you are doing because it really does help to keep you focused. I don’t want to come on here and report weight gain or that I haven’t bothered all week!
Plan your meals ahead of time because if you don’t and you run out of food to eat or you are not sure what you are having to lunch/dinner – it can be really easy to just go ahead and make something quick. Also make sure you have plenty of healthy snacks around to keep you away from the biscuits.
Eat little and often. Most online diet programs (if they are good) will talk about the importance of small and often, small meals on a regular basis rather than waiting for long periods. The Diet Solution suggests that eating should happen every 3 hours and definitely no more than 4 – so it means always feeding my body. I will have things like cherry tomatoes or celery sticks close by in case I get hungry inbetween that but so far I have managed to eat at least every 3 hours. If I am on the computer it is easy to forget so I have to set an alarm to remind me not to go past 4 hours.
These are just some of the simple things I have had to do to stick to my online diet program and it really does help. I have a lot of people watching how I am doing and I am more determined myself than I have ever been so that helps too.
